The question is, can you reach it?
Let's face it; we've all had that certain time when we thought, "am I doing it long enough?" Well, worry not because science is here to answer that!
In a survey taken over at Saucy Dates, an international sample of 3,836 men and women was asked how long they would like sex to last. The results? On average, women wanted to get pleasure between those sheets for 25 minutes and 51 seconds, while men wanted it to last for 25 minutes and 43 seconds.
And as you can see in the graph, USA men seemed to last longer, followed by Canadians. However, it's obvious how men from all over globe can't seem to reach their ideal duration in actuality.
Previous studies about the average amount of time couples have the good 'ol loving to reach orgasm came to a whole range of numbers. Asking 500 heterosexual couples from around the world to time themselves having sex (using a stopwatch) over a period of four weeks, results show that duration is somewhere between 33 seconds and 44 minutes.
The average time? *Drum rolls*A whooping 5.4 minutes! Bad news for Turkey though, they only had an average 3.72 minutes. Moreover, don't worry about condoms and circumcision, results show that it doesn't actually affect the performance or outcome of sexual intimacy amongst couples so much.
Nonetheless, sad to say, 25 minutes doesn't really sound so realistic now, does it? Good thing we have this left and rights hands as well as our slippery tongues to do the needed work. Who said penetration always needs to be included? (Bonus points if you're into toys! *Winks*)
