Marijuana has always had a negative impression to the U.S Federal Government. However, Dr. David Samadi thinks otherwise. In an interview with Fox News, David expressed that there’s a study conducted proving that Marijuana is 114 times safer than alcohol. Scientific Reports released the study last January 2015. Connectively, Vox, a popular YouTube channel that has over 1.6 million subscribers broadcasted their opinion to the masses. Marijuana has been classified as a Schedule 1 drug by the U.S Government – the severest classification available. As a Schedule 1 drug, Cocaine and Meth only comes second to Marijuana. Vox exclaimed, “3,000 people died from heroin overdoses in 2010.” “0 in recorded human history died from Marijuana abuse,” Vox added. Columbia University’s research study showed that alcohol poisoning risks of fatal accident 13 times more than usual. “88,000 deaths each year attributable to alcohol. About 25,000 of them are just overdoses,” Vox stated. “People don’t die from it. They rarely kill others while on it. More marijuana and less alcohol means fewer deaths from intoxication, fewer drunk driving fatalities, less crime, less violence,” he started. On the other hand, it comes with a price. “If it makes people for whatever reason, drink more, then legalizing pot might actually make our alcohol problem worse,” he finished. All in all, taking responsibility is what matters the most. [embed][/embed]
