When we think being straight is black and white. Think again. It may just be just 50 shades grayer - or gayer.
The idea that sex among genders falls into a sort of category is passé. Our sexual identity may come with unusual sex-related activities. It doesn't matter whether you're heterosexual with sexual activities going toward the homosexual preferences. At least this is what the new study suggests.
An interesting study reported in the Archives of Sexual Behavior suggests that 1 out of 5 straight men watch gay porn.
The study abstract starts with describing the evolution of sexually explicit media (SEM) online. Kinky sex gets kinkier.
Dr. Martin J. Downing of Public Health Solutions in New York and his colleagues in the study asked 821 gay, straight and bisexual men about the kind of porn they watch.
The result is surprising. It turns out that 21% of men who claim to be straight watch gay porn. While 55% of gay men watch straight porn and other types of porn.
For bisexual men, the result is not surprising at all. They choose to watch a lot of straight, gay and bisexual porn.
The researchers of the study do understand that men watching gay porn does not necessarily translate to them having gay sex. It is the same to gay men watching heterosexual sex. Most don't have any heterosexual sex experience.
If you're straight and finds this data erroneous, well you can not speak for those other 20 percent. Who knows right?
This may be intriguing to both sides of the gender spectrum. I wonder if those falling in the bisexual center find this intriguing at all.
If you're straight, gay, bisexual, a unicorn or a goddess, let us know what you think. This could get interesting!
