There's an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth. But for this woman in China, it means a different and painful thing that requires a surgery!

Cao Fang, a 28-year old woman from Guangzhou had been feeling a sharp pain in her eye. She had turned to eating softer food to prevent the pain from coming up. She even had to steam an apple.

It turned out that what this woman had was extraordinary and shocking. A visit to a doctor revealed that she had a fully developed tooth growing under her eye. A certain Doctor Lin from another hospital agreed to operate on her just to remove the tooth. An incision was made on the side of her face to remove the rogue one-inch tooth.

She was told that the abnormal growth of the tooth, though fully developed, was a result of an impacted tooth. An impacted tooth is a tooth growing out but is blocked by another tooth. For this woman, her impacted tooth got pushed to the wrong side and quite fatal side of her face. A wisdom tooth is another example of an impacted tooth.
