This Ecocapsule could be the concept of the future houses. It runs entirely on renewable energy, and does look sleek, too! People can definitely live comfortably in it without having to pay for electricity or water.
This egg-shaped, compact abode was developed by Nice Architects, a firm based in Bratislava, Slovokia. The Ecocapsule has a very efficient design, and comes with everything you'd need. One of its highlights is its water-free toilet that works like magic! It incinerates wastes into thin air. Viola!
The Ecocapsule generates electricity through its wind turbine and solar panels. It stores energy in a rechargeable battery that can carry up to 10kW.
Its main source of water is rain, and has a gallon reservoir where water is collected. This reservoir when full, can supply enough water for two people in three weeks. The Ecocapsule also has a membrane filter to trap dirt and bacteria. Hence, you wouldn't need to worry about clean, potable water.
This futuristic abode can also monitor its water and power supply through a central computer. This central computer can be controlled with a phone or a tablet. It runs on a smart system that provides notification and information about the supply and how long it will last. Thank you, technology.
Units of Ecocapsule are now for sale, and will be ready for delivery in late 2016 or early 2017. Sounds like a great investment for the future. You'd definitely need one in the post-apocalypse.
